After breakfast, begin a scenic drive to Pokhara along the Trishuli and Marshyangdi rivers. Arrive in Pokhara by late afternoon and check in to your hotel. The evening is free to relax by Phewa Lake.
Depart Pokhara after breakfast and drive through the Kali Gandaki Valley, passing Beni and picturesque villages. The road offers dramatic views of waterfalls, deep gorges, and changing landscapes. Upon arrival at Tatopani, you may enjoy a visit to the natural hot springs (optional).
Today’s journey takes you into the trans-Himalayan region. Drive through Jomsom and continue to the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath, revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. After visiting the temple, descend to Kagbeni, a medieval village at the gateway of Upper Mustang.
After permit formalities, enter Upper Mustang and drive north through arid landscapes, colorful rock formations, and traditional villages such as Tangbe and Ghami. Cross high passes and ancient trade routes before arriving at Charang, home to an impressive monastery and royal palace.
