Itinerary

Langtang Helicopter Tour

06:00 AM – Pick-up from hotel
Pick-up from your hotel in Kathmandu then drive to the domestic section of Tribhuvan International Airport.

06:30 AM – Check-in at airport in Kathmandu
After completing formalities and paperwork, and also checking the weather, we shall then fly to Langtang region.

07:00 AM – Fly to the Langtang Region
The helicopter slowly leaves the Kathmandu Valley and you will witness the aerial view of the city flying along small towns nearby Kathmandu City. As the helicopter reaches Langtang Valley many peaks come into view across horizon located at the Nepalese and Tibetan borders which include Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Paldor Peak, Jugal Himal, Singri Himal, Shisapangma etc.

07:30 AM – Land at Kyanjin Gompa and explore around for 30 minutes
Land at the beautiful village of Kyanjin Gompa which is an age-old Tamang community village which is named after the monastery Kyanjin Gompa or Monastery. The village is inside Langtang National Park which is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and glaciers. There is also a cheese factory at Kyanjin established by Swiss geologist Toni Hagen more than seven decades ago – the oldest and the first Yak Cheese Factory in Nepal. Now is the time for some great pictures and explore around the village.

08:00 AM – Fly back to Kathmandu Airport
Kyanjin Gompa is located at high elevation so there can be risk of high altitude so helicopter will stay there for about 20-30 minutes. After some refreshments at local café, we will fly back to Kathmandu.

08:30 AM – Drop at your hotel
Upon arrival in Kathmandu our airport representatives will drop you back to your hotel.

The helicopter tour depends on the weather. The tour may be rescheduled to an alternate date or canceled if the weather is bad or the sky is gloomy.
