The historic symphony of Gorkha, thrillingly titanic wilderness of Chitwan and the scenic splendor of Pokhara…..such is the entertainment cocktail you will be greeted with.  

The tour commences with an enticing sightseeing of Kathmandu valley, where we enthusiastically explore the historical/religious/cultural landmarks herein. We then cruise all the way to Gorkha, one of the former 22 kingdoms of the then fragmented Nepal. Exploring the famous “Gorkha Palace” here, we get well versed to the incredible gallantry of Late King Prithivi Narayan Shah, the unifier of Nepal. The tranquility and verdant stretches of Gorkha can impress any nature lover. From the serene premises of Gorkha, we take a nose dive to the astounding wilderness in the humid plains of Chitwan. An array of Jungle activities will keep us pumped up throughout our stay here. The fun is now over yet; we now head towards Pokhara- one of the most famed tourist hotspots of Nepal. A chain of mesmerizing lakes, flabbergasting mountain views, sophisticated resorts, funky loud pubs and amiable people compel any tourist to literally fall in love with this vivacious city. The itinerary prescribed above is the standard template of the trip plan offered by Marron Treks which can be readily customized to match the guests’ preferences. However, the guests are expected to understand that the execution of the trip plan might be circumvented by an array of uncontrollable factors like bad weather, political turmoil, strikes, blockades and other unforeseen contingencies. Besides, the domestic flights in Nepal could be subjected to delays or cancellations owing to adverse weather conditions or technical glitches. It is worth mentioning that the flights cannot be operated in the condition where the visibility is less than 1600 meters. Under such abnormal circumstances, the trip plans might undergo slight or sharp alterations, taking into consideration, the best interest of the clients. Wherever the changes are made, Marron Treks cannot be held responsible for the consequences. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

Upon arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be received by a representative from Marron Treks and then transferred to your hotel. At the hotel, you will be greeted with welcome drinks. We then have a quick pre-trip meeting where you will be briefed on the necessary formalities and your tour itinerary. You can spend the remaining half of the day, resting. Or, if lying flat is too unbecoming for you, stroll around the nearby places just to get the feel of what this city is like. Day 02: Kathmandu city sightseeing (1400m)

The special day of this special tour begins with an enticing and informative and sightseeing of Kathmandu. The city is literally dotted with famed temples, monasteries and some mind-boggling ancient architectural epitomes. Hop in to a private car and drive about the city with an experienced and amiable guide, exploring the best of Kathmandu. The Pasupatinath Temple will be our first pick. Dedicated to the supreme Hindu deity, Lord Shiva, this pious shrine is one of the most esteemed Hindu pilgrimage sites in the world. The temple is inundated with the pilgrims all the year round. Entry inside the temple is prohibited for anybody other than the Hindus.

Let's cruise to another famed temple of the city. We now arrive at the "Swayambunath". Also known as the "Monkey Temple", the Swayambunath is visited equally by the Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. The temple is perched at a monticule and one needs to truge up the many concrete stairs to reach there. We can notice the two massive eyes painted on the temple's dome. The Nepalese have a belief that the eyes of Swayambhunath judges the wrong and right deeds, treating every Nepali equally, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

We drive back from Swayambunath and give a break to this informative tour, halting for lunch in some funky roadside restaurant. After lunch, the sightseeing resumes. Just to make sure that you don't get jaded exploring two temples back to back in a row, we now take you to the Kathmandu (Basantapur) Durbar Square, a conglomeration of ancient palaces and monuments, exhibiting a commendable architecture of the ancient era. Strolling around the artistic palatial square, you will just get the sense of how dandy the former kings of Nepal were, despite the fact that they were born in such an unsophisticated era.  The presence of such an orthodox environ inside the glamorous crust of the city, proves why Kathmandu is the major tourist attraction of Nepal. Thus, being flabbergasted with the amazing components of Kathmandu all day long, the informative tour wraps up for today. You will be driven back to the hotel. Entry inside the temple is prohibited for anybody other than the Hindus. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast included.




Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Gorkha (1135m/5- 6 hours)

Today, we will be heading towards the quaint historic city of Gorkha located at about 5-6 hours' drive from the capital. After an energizing breakfast at the hotel, you will be accompanied by your guide on a scenic drive to Gorkha. We bet, putting up with the cacophony of this busy city for the last couple of days, a journey towards the tranquil environ of Gorkha is indeed going to be a welcome diversion for you. Driving alongside the hills, simultaneously beholding the mountain views and verdant outfields, we eventually arrive at Gorkha. We check in to our hotel and relax. We have an entire day tomorrow to explore the historic ambience of Gorkha. Overnight at hotel in Gorkha; breakfast included.


Day 04: Sightseeing in Gorkha

The fresh air of the hills, seemingly never ending stretch of greenery and soothing tranquility of Gorkha combined together serve as natural tonic to keep ourselves rejuvenated all day. After a good breakfast at the hotel, we head on to explore this fascinating historic terra firma of Nepal. The highlight of the day is the very sensational, "Gorkha Palace". The palace belongs to the most visionary and gallant "Shah" dynasty king cum the unifier of Nepal- Late King Prithivi Narayan Shah. The word "Prithivi" means earth and "Narayan" connotes the vedic supreme God. As per the assigned nomenclature, he aspired to personify him as the supremo of the earth, fighting and winning countless battles and expanding the borders of his kingdom. He always dreamt of consolidating the scattered kingdoms of Nepal into one strong realm. With great perseverance and indefatigable effort, he did realize his dream. Unfortunately, this lion-hearted warrior - king perished in one of the battles. Any patriotic Nepali takes his name with great pride and respect. 

To get into the premies of the palace, we have to march up some 1700 steps uphill...oh boy, that is quite a hiking to do!! The walls of the palace has some wonderful sculptures and romantic portrays. Towards the west of the palace, there is a temple of "Goddess Gorakh Kaali". It is believed that King Prithivi was a diehard worshipper of Goddess Kaali and that he was blessed with all the courage, strength and ferocity because of his utter devotion towards the Goddess. The place is akin to a vantage point to witness the fascinating environ. On a clear day, you can behold the spectacular Himalayan vistas of Mt. Manaslu and Himchuli, unfolding right in front of your eyes. Sitting on the stone steps, we can contemplate over the legends of the late king and how he must have framed out his plans of emerging big, no matter how small kingdom he ruled. After some great clicks, we descend the stone stairs and head back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Gorkha; breakfast included.


Day 05: Drive from Gorkha to Chitwan (150m/4hours)

It's now time to kiss goodbye to the serene historic environ of Gorkha. After breakfast, our comfy drive resumes; this time towards the humid-forest clad plains of Chitwan. The mission of this drive is to get to the very grand, "Chitwan National Park".  After being on the wheels for about 4-5 hours, we eventually arrive at this interesting flat terra firma of south-western Nepal. Chitwan takes its name from the Chitwan Valley, one of the inner Terai valleys of Nepal, poised at the foothills of the Himalayas, between the Mahabarat and Siwalik Ranges. Bharatpur is the major city cum a commercial hub of Chitwan. The drive from Gorkha to Chitwan is tantamount to a nose dive, as we come down from a staggering 1400m to meager 150m. One can easily feel the humidity in the warm air. We drive to one of the good jungle resorts. The drive being long, we would not actually be in the sort of mood to explore anything today. So, we can check in to our room and relax, looking at the swaying trees and listening to the twittering birds. After all, we need to save a lot of energy for an array of enticing jungle activities tomorrow. Overnight at hotel in Chitwan on full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) basis with jungle activities.


Day 06: Jungle activities at the Chitwan National Park

We spend the entire day in the wilds today. Elephant ride / cannoning / village tour / jungle walk / bird watching / visit to the elephant breading center / slide show presentation will be our major picks for the day. In the evening, we get an opportunity to witness the indigenous  Tharu cultural show. You can either spend the night at the hotel or choose to camp in the wilds. Overnight at hotel in Chitwan on full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) basis with jungle activities.




Day 07: Drive from Chitwan to Pokhara (830m/4hours)

The title of this tour starts with the word "Special", because with an arid mix of entirely different activities on entirely different places, you feel special and entertained every time. From the dense wilds of Chitwan, we now cruise to Pokhara, one of the most famed tourist hotspots of mid-western Nepal. Set against the magnificent Annapurna range,  with an elevation lower than Kathmandu, Pokhara is an abode to a flabbergasting diversity of flowers and a chain of emerald lakes, which prosper in its environs. The spectacular panorama of the Annapurna range forms its backdrop, although the highest among them is Annapurna I (8,091 m), Machhapuchhre or Fishtail. Upon arrival at Pokhara, we check in to our hotel and relax. We have an entire day tomorrow for sighseeing. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara; breakfast included.


Day 08: Sightseeing in Pokhara

Get ready to pamper yourself in the fascinating milieu of Pokhara. After that succulent breakfast at the hotel, we get on the wheels once again and cruise around this happening city to explore the best tourist attractions herein. Mahendra Cave, Davis Falls, Barahi Temple, Seti Gorge will be our picks for the day. Hang on! that does not entirely wrap up the exploration. Pokhara is also known as the "Lake City". The presence of serene emerald blue lakes, viz. Fewa, Rupa, and Begnas, have further embellished this already blessed terra- firma. We shall indulge in the beauty of these mesmerizing lakes and if time permits, we can have some boating on the tranquil waters of Fewa Lake. That should bring your day's love affair with Pokhara to an end. With a heart full of content, we drive back to our hotel. If you are one of those party freaks, you can try out the local pubs and get loud n crazy in the evening! Overnight at hotel in Pokhara; breakfast included.


Day 09: Early morning drive to Sarangkot (1592m/ 45min), enjoy the sunrise view; drive back to Pokhara 

Sarangkot is a picturesque hill station in the vicinity of Pokhara. We take an early morning drive to this hilly paradise and witness a majestic view of sunrise over the towering Himalayas. The sensational combo of sunrise and Himalayan vistas could literally catapult us to cloud nine! After this romantic retreat, we drive back to our hotel in Pokhara and have our breakfast. This is actually an optional day in Pokhara just in case we missed out something during our first sightseeing. We could also get engrossed in some shopping. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara; breakfast included.


Day 10: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu and drive to Nagarkot (2195m/1hour)

After savoring our last breakfast at Pokhara, we drive to the airport and board on a flight back to Kathmandu. Once you land at the domestic wing of the Kathmandu airport, you will be driven to Nagarkot, another scenic hill-station in the vicinity of Kathmandu. Nagarkot is well known for its flabbergasting mountain and  sunrise/sunset views. The sophisticated resorts at the backdrop of splendid mountains cater to a wide range of menu. From the famous "Nagarkot Tower" one can witness an awesome ambience of the surrounding. Overnight at resort in Nagarkot; breakfast included.


Day 11: Enjoy the sunrise view from Nagarkot Tower and drive back to kathmandu; Bhaktapur city sightseeing en route

We take an early morning hike to the Nagarkot Tower and relish the splendid sunrise view over the Himalayas. We then walk back to our resort and have breakfast, after which we drive back to Kathmandu. En route, we stop by Bhaktapur and explore some enticing histo-cultural heritage sites herein. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is an epitome of the ancient architectural master-piece. The square encapsulates a stunning conglomeration of ancient buildings and monuments, including the "Fifty-five Windowed Palace, The Lion gate and The Golden gate. Dominantly dwelt by the ethnic- "Newars", Bhaktapur exhibits a rich and unique Newari culture. After this enticing exploration, we take a lunch break; The Golden Gate in the Bhaktapur Durbar Square of Nepal, is said to be the most beautiful and richly moulded specimen of its kind in the entire world.if willing we can savor the locally made special yoghurt "Dju Dju Dhau", as a rich dessert.

You will then be driven to Kathmandu and transffered to your designated hotel. You can spend the remaining time as you please. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast and dinner included.








Day 12: A free day in Kathmandu

This is an optional day in Kathmandu. You must have gotten a bit jaded following our set tour schedule for several days. So, we've set aside an extra day for you, just in case you missed out doing or spotting something in this hyperactive and flamboyant capital of Nepal. You could perhaps want to get indulged in some souvenir shopping. May be that in addition to your interesting trip anecdotes, you would also want to take back some mementos for your friends and relatives back home.

In the evening Marron Treks will host a farewell dinner cum a cultural program, featuring a range of traditional Nepali cuisines. Forget who you are or where you came from. Savor the Nepali dishes, dance to the tunes of Nepali folk songs…be a Nepali at least for this evening! You will then be driven to your hotel where you can do the packing and take a contented sleep. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast and dinner included.


Day 13: Final departure

Unless you would want to extend your trip and try out some of our other adventurous packages like Bungy Jumping, Mountain Biking, Jungle Safari, White Water Rafting, Golfing & Paragliding etc., this will be your last day in Nepal. A representative from Marron Treks will escort you to the airport for the final departure to your homeland. Have a safe flight back home and we look forward to being your travel companion in Nepal, once again.

In Pokhara City, we accommodate you in 3 star or 5 star hotels like Base Camp Resort (3 Star), Mt. Kailash (3 star) , Fishtail Lodge (5 star), Shangrila Village (5 star) or similar. In Chitwan we accommodate you in Tigerland Safari Resort or Safari Narayani Hotel or similar.

We arrange the best quality food for all visitors. We could arrange Continental, Chinese, Italian and Indian cuisine like Pizza, Spaghetti, French Fries, Soups, Breads etc based upon your requirement.But it would be great if you  prefer  to use the local foods that would help you to interact with the local peoples and to know the rich culture of Nepal.
