Paragliding, a popular air adventure offered in Nepal at a tranquil town hamlet of Sarangkot.

Sarangkot, an absolutely scenic village in Kaski district, boisterously perched on a mountainside ridge at an altitude of 1600 meters is where the paragliding flights are operated in Nepal. As you get wafted in the open air, under the canopy of a crystal clear blue sky, relish the flurry of superb vistas unfolding! While the luscious Annapurna Massif, Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Himchuli, Mt. Lamjung etc. stand formidably and tantalizing adjacent to you, the verdant fields, mesmerizing lakes, pretty rivers and splendid landscapes spread underneath. You will have the opportunity to capture some great stills.

Prior to the flight, it is important that you take heed of the quick briefing from the pilot regarding the basic instructions on controlling the glider. As an alternative, the tandem flights are also operational.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

Day 02: Kathmandu city sightseeing

Day 03: Drive or flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (830m/4-5hours)

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Sarangkot (1600m/45min); enjoy the paragliding at Sarangkot

Day 05: Drive from Sarangkot to Pokhara followed by a guided sightseeing at Pokhara 

Day 06: Drive or flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1400m/4-5hours)

However, the guests are expected to understand that the execution of the trip plan might be circumvented by an array of uncontrollable factors like bad weather, political turmoil, strikes, blockades and other unforeseen contingencies. Besides, the domestic flights in Nepal could be subjected to delays or cancellations owing to adverse weather conditions or technical glitches. It is worth mentioning that the flights cannot be operated in the condition where the visibility is less than 1600 meters. Under such abnormal circumstances, the trip plans might undergo slight or sharp alterations, taking into consideration, the best interest of the clients. Wherever the changes are made, Marron Treks cannot be held responsible for the consequences. Nevertheless, we shall endeavor our level best to make sure that the trip is carried out with respect to the original trip specifics.


Kathmandu, the busy and flamboyant capital city of Nepal.Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Marron Treks will receive and transfer you to your hotel. After you are greeted with welcome drinks at the hotel, we will have a quick pre-trip meeting to discuss on the necessary formalities and trekking itinerary. You can then check in to your room, freshen up and rest. Or if you are not one of those “lay back” types, you can take a stroll around the vicinity of your hotel and get the feel of this hyperactive capital city of Nepal. On the streets, people seem to be on sheer rush, barely noticing one another, but if you utter “Namaste”, they will definitely reciprocate with a smile! Well, that’s Nepal’s Nepalese for you. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast included.

 

Day 02: Kathmandu city sightseeing (1400m)Kathmandu Durbar Square, the enticing conglomeration of ancient arts and craftsmanship in Nepal.

After breakfast, hop in to our transport vehicle and head off for a guided tour to the renowned historical and cultural landmarks of Kathmandu. You will be visiting the sites like- Pashupatinath Temple (the most revered Hindu shrine), Kathmandu (Basantapur) Durbar Square and Boudhanath (the Maha Stupa). All these sites have been listed in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list. After the entertaining and informative tour, we drive back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast included.
 

 

Pokhara, the lake city cum the famed tourist hot spot in Nepal. Day 03: Drive or flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (830m/ 4-5 hours)

You can choose either 4-5 hours' drive or about 25 minutes' flight to get to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will be transferred to your designated hotel. Since we have set aside an entire day for city sightseeing at Pokhara, the day after tomorrow, you can spend the remaining time today either resting or strolling around on your own. Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Sarangkot (1600m/45min); enjoy the paraglidingParagliding in Nepal from Sarangkot to Pokhara offers some of the most breathtaking mountain views. at Sarangkot

We drive to our paragliding spot in Sarangkot. Sarangkot is an absolutely scenic village in Kaski district, boisterously perched on a mountainside ridge at an altitude of 1600 meters. This emerging tourist destination offers stunning views of Dhaulagiri range in the far west as well as an incredibly close up view of the Annapurna massif. The village overlooks the fascinating lake city, Pokhara to the south. After our arrival at the spot, we undertake a short briefing regarding the flight by a professional pilot. This one hour’s exciting flight under the canopy of crystal clear blue sky offers breathtaking views of Annapurna Massif, Mt. Fish Tail, Himchuli, Lamjung Himal, Mt. Manaslu and Mt. Dhaulagiri. Don’t just limit yourself at the top, keep your head down for a while and witness the unprecedented beauty of the Pokhara valley, with verdant stretches of fields and mesmerizing lakes. After this ecstatic flight, you will be driven to your hotel in Sarangkot. This scenic village is well known for extra ordinary sunset and sunrise views. In the evening, we relish this very famed sight of the sun gradually gliding down and disappearing amidst the mountains. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara; breakfast included.
 

 

The International Mountain Museum is located in Pokhara, Nepal.Day 05: Drive from Sarangkot to Pokhara followed by a guided sightseeing at Pokhara 

We get up early and witness yet another fascinating sight of the sun hooding up the scintillating mountains. After breakfast, we drive back to the Pokhara and head on for a guided sightseeing tour of this famed tourist hotspot. Besides the funky crowd and a chain of sophisticated hotels and resorts, there are lots of splendid sights worth catching a glimpse of. We will be visiting some of the most prominent tourist attractions like Davis Falls, Lake Side, Internal Mountaineering Museum, Mahendra Cave, Phewa Lake, Barahi Temple etc. After this informative and entertaining sightseeing tour, we drive back to the serene premises of our hotel.  Overnight at hotel in Pokhara; breakfast included.
 

                                                                                                                                
Day 06: Drive or flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1400m/ 4-5 hours)Thamel, a popular spot for souvenir shopping in Kathmandu, Nepal.

We either board on a 25 minutes' flight to take about 5 hours' drive to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remaining time as you please. You can indulge yourself in shopping. Thamel is your hot spot for shopping where you can haul all the souvenirs representing Nepal and its culture. May be that in addition to your interesting trip anecdotes, you would also want to take back some stuff for your friends and relatives. In the evening, a farewell dinner with a range of traditional Nepali cuisines will be hosted by Marron Treks. Enjoy the dinner, pack/prepare yourself for a flight back home and have a beauty sleep. Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal.Day 07: Final departure

A representative from Marron Treks will escort you to the Tribhuwan International Airport, three hours prior to your flight schedule. As you wave us good bye and enter the terminal block, you would perhaps recall your arrival at this place. No wonder everything seems so familiar now because, you had come here as tourist, but you are going back as a friend! Have a safe flight back home and we look forward to being your travel companion in Nepal again!

We arrange the best quality food for all visitors while Paragliding in Nepal. We could arrange Continental, Chinese, Italian and Indian cuisine like Pizza, Spaghetti, French Fries, Soups, Breads etc based upon your requirement.But it would be great if you  prefer  to use the local foods that would help you to interact with the local peoples and to know the rich culture of Nepal.

(Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 15 days costs US $ 25 or equivalent foreign currency, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days costs US $40 and $ 100 respectively. You will need a valid passport and 2 copies of your recent PP sized photos).
