The city is blessed in the sense that it is equipped with all the modern amenities and at the same time has not shed its traditional charm. Be it a posh luxury hotel, a lavish modern shopping mall or a pious shrine standing since the hoary antiquity, they are all here. Who might not want to take a close up look at this neo-classical city? The “Close-up Kathmandu Tour" is an entertainingly astounding trip that familiarizes you to every nook and corner of Kathmandu. During this 5 days’ tour, we enthusiastically explore the religious, cultural and historical landmarks of Kathmandu, like- Pasupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Basantapur Durbar Square etc.  After sampling these renowned world heritages, we drive to Nagarkot, a covetous hill station in the vicinity of Kathmandu.  From the tower at Nagarkot, we relish the jaw- dropping mountainous vistas of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and yes, the mighty Everest.  Besides the mountain views and stunning landscapes, the sights of sunrise and sunset are utterly fantastic. After an enticing indulgence in this heavenly hill station, we drive back to Kathmandu, which wraps up our tour.

Kathmandu, the busy and flamboyant capital city of Nepal.Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m)

Upon arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you need to accomplish your entry/visa formalities. You will then be received by a representative from Marron Treks and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Welcome drinks will be served at the hotel and then we will have a quick pre-trip meeting. You can then spend the remaining time resting or as you please. In the evening you can stroll around the vicinity of your hotel just to get the feel of this wonderful city. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast included.




Day 02: Kathmandu city sightseeing (1400m)Boudhanath Stupa, the gigantic stupa in Kathmandu Nepal, regarded as the one of the most revered sites for Buddhist pilgrims in Nepal.

After breakfast, hop in to our transport vehicle and head off for a guided tour to the renowned historical and cultural landmarks of Kathmandu. You will be visiting the sites like - Pashupatinath Temple (the most revered Hindu shrine), Kathmandu (Basantapur) Durbar Square and the Boudhanath (the Maha Stupa). All these sites have been listed in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list. After the entertaining and informative tour, we drive back to the hotel. You can spend the rest of the time as you wish or probably contemplating over your next day's face-off with the cultural marvels of Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast included.



Bhaktapur Durbar Square, an ancient palatial culture in the historic city of Bhaktapur, Nepal, reflecting some incredible master pieces of ancient Newari arts and craftsmanship.Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot (2195m/1hour) via Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Get off your comfy beds a the hotel, take a refreshing shower and settle for an energizing breakfast. You will meet your guide, the same amiable persona who familiarized you to the historical and cultural wonders of the city yesterday. You set off for a drive towards Nagarkot, one of the most picturesque hill stations in the vicinity of Kathmandu. On the way, we visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, an emblem of the historical wonder of Nepal. This palatial square encapsulates an impressive conglomeration of ancient buildings and monuments which exhibit the very best of ancient architecture. Bhaktapur is dominantly dwelt by the people of "Newar" community. One can vividly witness the prevalence of the Newari culture here. The Nagarkot View Tower in Nagarkot, Nepal is a magnet for nature lovers who reach there to capture the scenes of rising sun in the morning and when it is setting in the evening.Besides the palatial square and a unique Newari culture, there is one more thing that no matter how meager it might seem, has popularized Bhaktapur; it is the locally made curd known as "Dju Dju Dhau". This rich curd is made out of pure milk and is exceptionally tasty. If willing, we can sample the curd and tickle our taste buds. After all the fun and some enthusiastic clicks at Bhaktapur, our drive resumes. The roads ahead are narrow and curvy but they are quaint with plenty of greenery around, something in sharp contrast with the wide, busy roads of the world be cosmopolitan, Kathmandu. After about an hour's scenic drive, we eventually arrive at this blessed hill station of Nagarkot. The fresh air of the hills, seemingly never-ending stretch of greenery, astounding mountainous vistas, all makes Nagarkot one of the best excursion destinations. It used to be the summer camp of the former Royals in Nepal. With a chain of sophisticated resorts and restaurants, your stay at Nagarkot is going to absolutely comfortable. We check in to one of best resorts nearby and rest for some time. In the evening we head on towards the "Nagarkot Tower" to witness the marvelous sunset view. Day 04: Witness the beautiful Nagarkot sunrise & drive to KathmanduNagarkot, a beautiful hill station near Kathmandu, Nepal.  (1400m/1hour)

We wake up early in the morning and head towards the Nagarkot Tower to relish the fascinating view of sunrise over the Himalayas. After this scenic indulgence, we get back to our resort, freshen up ourselves and savor a succulent breakfast, simultaneously admiring the backdrop of an impressive Himalayan chain from our resort. It's time now we kiss good bye to this hilly paradise and get on the wheels back to the hullabaloo of Kathmandu. From the quaint environ or Nagarkot, an exciting curvy drive of about an hour brings us back to the rush, crowd and glamour of the capital. We drive to our hotel. The remaining time is on your own. You would probably want to get in to some souvenir shopping at Thamel. In the evening, Marron Treks will host a farwell dinner party, a full fledged Nepali fiesta, showcasing a range of traditional Nepali cuisines and an enticing cultural show. Enjoy to the fullest and sleep tight. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast and dinner included.



Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, the only international airport in Nepal.Day 05: Final departure

Unless you would want to extend your trip and try out some of our other adventurous packages like Bungy Jumping, Mountain Biking, Jungle Safari, White Water Rafting, Golfing & Paragliding etc., this will be your last day in Nepal. A representative from Marron Treks will escort you to the airport for the final departure to your homeland. We are certainly going to miss you because although you had come here as a tourist, you are going back as a friend!  Have a safe flight back home and we look forward to being your travel companion in Nepal once again.

During Close-up Kathmandu Tour  we opt you accommodate in 3 star or 5 star hotels like Hotel Royal Singhi (3star), Hotel Manaslu (3 star), Radisson (5 star), Yak & Yeti (5 star) or similar in Kathmandu City. In Pokhara City, we accommodate you in 3 star or 5 star hotels like Base Camp Resort (3 Star), Mt. Kailash (3 star) , Fishtail Lodge (5 star) , Shangrila Village (5 star) or similar. In Chitwan we accommodate you in Tigerland Safari Resort or Safari Narayani Hotel or similar.

 

Meals

We arrange the best quality food for all visitors. We could arrange Continental, Chinese, Italian and Indian cuisine like Pizza, Spaghetti, French Fries, Soups, Breads etc based upon your requirement.But it would be great if you  prefer  to use the local foods that would help you to interact with the local peoples and to know the rich culture of Nepal.
